Located just south of the Bridge of Lions, Davis Shores is a convenient and desirable community for many who live in St. Augustine. The area was developed by extensive filling of wetlands just after the Bridge of Lions was constructed in 1926-27. During World War II, homes were used as barracks for soldiers monitoring the coastline.
